Greetings and thank you for stopping by to pay us a visit! We welcome you with open arms to our site!
Jesse is the husband, while Sarah is the wife. Guess you figured that out already though. :D We consider ourselves to be a sweet, friendly Christian couple who strives to put Christ first in our lives and in the lives of our children. But sometimes striving to put Christ first isn’t always easy is it? We have good days and bad day, just like you. Which is why we try to discipline ourselves by memorizing scripture or having quiet time alone with God.
We’ve been married for six years and have one very sweet 5 yr. old daughter, who we've nicknamed "Ms. Jewel" and one very handsome 3 yr. old son "Mr. Happy". We are very fortunate to have a big family on my husbands side who are really, super supportive and caring, which we love and love them all for that matter. My husband and I like to have fun, act silly with one another, laugh, get out of the house sometimes and pull goofy pranks on each other every now and then. Who said being a Christian can't be fun? :) But we also know when it's time to be serious, which is a 'must' balance.
We enjoy life though at times Satan puts road blocks in our way, which we have to remind him of his future when he does this. Sometimes this does the trick and the road blocks are removed; other times God allows us to leap over those road blocks and not let the enemy stop us from what we He has called us to do.
My husband is calmed mannered and even-toned and ever so patient, while me, Sarah (being a woman and all) can go through highs and low, depending on the day. Two very strong things we have in common (besides our friendship) is our faith in Jesus Christ and our clear-cut precision in doing 99.9% of any task to the best of our ability. This sometimes makes us move slower, because we try to get any assignments complete with accuracy.
We aren’t perfect; in fact far from it. We are real people and don’t pretend to be saints or perfectionists. But one thing is for sure, we love God and Christ with all our hearts, even through the road blocks or bad days. We are blood bought, sold out, 100% for Christ and we thank Him daily for our Salvation.
10 Things Mr. Jesse Enjoys:
- His time spent in Christ and also pouring this into the lives of our two children.
- His wife; yup that's me. We are like hand and glove together with such good times.
- Singing; mainly praise and worship songs to God. He really does have a fantastic voice.
- Golf. I'm pretty sure if Jesse weren't married to a woman his putter would be my replacement. Need I say more about how much he enjoys the sport?
- 'Rough-housing' with the kids, especially little Jesse who can handle it a lot more. They love to wrestle and tear the house up together.
- His close friends, mainly his childhood friends, whom he grew up with in the Clear Lake area. He doesn't feel the need to talk to them everyday the way women do with their girlfriends, but he has a deep rooted manly affection with many of them.
- Movies. Jesse loves a good movie, anything ranging from silly, out-landish and off the wall humor to action packed adventure. His most recent movie he watched was Transformers in June 2009 and he loves that along with Iron Man.
- His parents, siblings, and extended family. Actually this would be up there with #2 and #5. His mother, father, two sisters, brother, nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles all have played a major role in the secure confidence that is often an obvious and admired trait in Jesse.
- PlayStation 3. This would have been up there with Golf, but here lately he hasn't played his PlayStation very often. This might have something to do with the fact that I unplugged it from the back awhile ago....hmmmm, not sure on that one....
- Jesse loves to cook and also loves to learn about cooking. He loves to watch Anthony Bourdain (No Reservations), Bobby Flay, Iron Chef and many others, which works out great for me since personally cooking is not my specialty.
There are many more great things about Jesse but you'll just have to learn them out on your own as you get to know him better. I feel very blessed to have such a real man of God by my side who uplifts me spiritually, emotionally, and even financially with the amazing gift of being able to be a full time SAHM for the first time two years ago. I love you sweetie!
10 things Mrs. Sarah Enjoys:
- My relationship with Christ. Hands down. I would be nowhere without the amazing work He has done in and through me. Well I would be somewhere, just not somewhere very pleasant.
- My husband Jesse and two young children; 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son.
- My family before my family; my parents, sisters, brothers, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, the works.
- Photography. I have a HUGE passion for photography and in fact this past Mothers Day in 2009 my husband blessed me with the greatest gift of my first SLR Digital camera. And not just any digital camera but a Nikon D90, which is top of the line, super shutter speed, a high class piece of equipment. Personally I think that Nikon makes the best cameras out there. Some may differ in this thought, but that's okay; we can just agree to disagree. You can view some of the great freeze frame photo shots I've taken with this bad boy by clicking here. Some day I hope to go professional with this passion I have but for now I still have quite a bit to learn.
- Computers. I do enjoy my time on the computer, though I have had to limit my use. None-the-less, when I am blogging, or on Face book, Twitter, editing photo's with software programs, or self-teaching myself about computer graphics, codes, site layouts and styles (you can practically learn anything online for free these days), or just web surfing, I love to have this time as my own little outlet/escape from it all.
- When the mood strikes me I do love to clean and organize the house pretty thoroughly. Now like I stated, when the mood strikes me. So this is not a monthly thing by no means, but it does happen from time to time and I just get this 'itch' and go crazy cleaning, organizing, decluttering, scrubbing the germs off of germs, etc. like a mad woman, but when I'm finished it feels OHHH so great!
- My friends. I am an introvert, so the friends I have are very selective friends who I've entrusted myself with and have known for many, many years. I treasure them like I would the air I breathe, for they are priceless to me in my life.
- Ice cream; chocolate chip to be exact. That's not something I'm proud about having on a top 10 list of enjoyments, but it's just a fact about who I am. Chocolate Chip ice cream and I have a relationship like no other; nothing can or should be compared to this.
- Long and impulsive drives. Nothing beats taking off randomly out of town on a 4-5 hour drive to another city just to do it and enjoy the moments that go along with that. To me there is a lot that can be said and learned about these times I've acted on such impulses with friends/family.
- Movies. Like my husband I love to watch a good movie but I also love several series that come on TV like 'House', 'Scrubs', 'CSI', 'Everybody Loves Raymond'....well not 'Everybody Loves Raymond' so much anymore, but at one time yes. And as I said I do love a good movie to watch with my hubby, usually after the kids are in bed for the night and it's just the two of us to enjoy the show uninterrupted and with snacks to munch on. That of course meaning chocolate chip ice cream. :D
- And yes, I did have to go and add a #11 for me. Another thing some may not know about moi is that I have my own secret, quiet, little, 'under the table', ministry. It's simple really but I enjoy (well, love) blessing others by making blog buttons for their sites for free. I'm not a pro or perfect at it by any means but you can check out some I'm done for others by clicking here if you'd like to view them. If you would like to nominate a blog or site for me to work on creating that site a blog button than please contact me through my 'contact us' tab and let me know the site URL and why you believe they would be blessed to have a free blog button.
