My sweet, sweet son....how can I get you to slow down?
Little Jesse was doing his usual of playing in the backyard. But this time he got a little injured. He jumped off of a pretend gasoline Little Tykes pump and landed straight on his stomach. He used his arms to brace his fall and in doing so he tore several ligaments. Normally he bounces back up and is his usually self but this time he laid flat probably because he didn't want to apply any pressure on his left arm. We took him to the ER where they confirmed his sprained arm. He's been off and on crying because the pain seems to come and go. The ER gave him a cute teddy bear sling and some stickers which eased a tiny bit of his suffering. We have to take him back to his regular pediatrician on Tuesday for a follow up. And wouldn't you know it; Tuesday is his first day of preschool which he'll have to miss. Mommy and daddy are so sorry sweetie that you got hurt. You are 110% all boy and I wish so much that I could just wrap you in a giant bubble to prevent such injuries, but unfortunately I can't. All I can do is allow you to learn on your own, offer you warnings, teach you about results and consequences, and then look up to God and ask for His protection over you. We love you sweetie!!! Mom & Dad.
