I give up! Or should I say 'I give IN'?

Don't think it means how it sounds because it doesn't. What I mean is that sometimes God will remove all our resources like calling on a friend when you need them, or emailing someone asking for help, or trying to get help other ways when we are down, depressed, hurt, lonely, you name it. At times God will remove all of these resources of where you would normally turn so that they are not available and your ONLY resource is Him. I have battled multiple slaps from the enemy and have called upon (in various ways) family, online friends, and nearby friends only for them to be too busy to reply. I was angry and mad, hurt, and confused but it wasn't any one's fault. So what was I left to go to? GOD and He knew it. I sobbed my worries, angers and whatnot to Him which is what He wanted me to do all along. (Yes, I'm a sober.) When I did it, it was heartfelt and very necessary. So when I say 'I give up!', I don't mean I give up on life or God, but that I strive to surrender to Him instead of always seeking aid or comfort elsewhere. It's not as easy as it sounds. God's plans aren't done by accident and it's not coincidence either; it's always full of purpose!

5 Love Thoughts:

  1. Sarah -- My apologies. I'm sure I was one of the online people who didn't reply. I had family here all weekend that I hadn't seen in some time, and email has to often take a backburner. The good thing is, you seem to see that God is the answer, the One to whom we turn in time of need. God bless you, dear one. I'll try to answer your question about Bible study when I can, but the best advice on where to start, is to just start. Take a few verses at a time, not chunks, and meditate on those. God will speak to you through His word. He will ... He will ... He does. His word is alive and active. God bless you.

  2. No, Jennifer, please don't feel burdened by your lack of responding to my email. It was so much more that that. It wasn't you. All in all it was a good thing because God forced me to seek Him! I just need guidance. Don't we all? I would feel absolutely horrible if you felt sorry for being one to blame when you weren't. You're a wonderful woman of God and I seek you blog like so many others to get back on track. I will never give up on Him; never. I just struggle.

God Bless you as well and thank you for responding to this post.

  5. We all struggle from time to time. I find during the times that I struggle most the answers are usually staring me in the face, I am just not listening. I have been heart sick lately about many things, things that are not mine to control. Most of the lessons I need to learn are of obedience and faithfulness. I am glad to be reminded that things are not in my time, but HIS. Thanks for the honest post, I always enjoy your thoughts and insights!
