On the lighter side of things....

Hannah decided she would like to help me pick out this years Christmas photo cards to be sent to countless family, friends, and anyone in between.
Hmmmm.....I don't know what I'm setting myself up for. I already had moments of worried looks freeze on my face as she started to look through the background images of puppies in them. (Mind you, we don't even own a dog, let alone a puppy). However, since I am aware of her desperate need to express herself at this age I knew it would mean the world for her to work with mommy on this project. Before I knew it I found myself agreeing to let Hannah assist me. And wouldn't you know it? She is so ecstatic and eager to take on the role that she's fighting falling asleep tonight. This doesn't mean I won't interfere when necesaary (puppies) but I will try to give her some freedom in the pick.
So for this year, and don't say I didn't warn you, I don't exactly know what you will be receiving in the mail. There very well may be a puppy hidden in there somewhere....you'll just have to wait and see.
UPDATE: In the end this was the final photo card, much to my delight we were all very pleased.

3 Love Thoughts:

  1. I bet it will be your favorite card/picture of all time. The ones that have the best story behind them, with the most meaning, regardless of the outcome are the BEST!! Can't wait to see it. I have full faith in you Hannah!! Go Girl!!

  3. God Made the earth, the sky and the water, the moon and the sun. He made man and bird and beast. But He didn't make the dog. He already had one. - Native American saying

I say this because I'm going through the exact same thing...
