This very early morning I desire to take the time to say a tremendous thank you to God, His Son, and the brave men and women who have fought and kept our country safe; our sweet America.
Today is a day of observation and recognition to those who have died in fighting for the USA. Today is a day to feel blessed for the many luxuries we have as a nation under God, having the freedom to be a so incredibly blessed with the many things we have here. Today is a day to salute those men and women who put their lives directly in the face of death and died to for you; for me, for us all.
Thank you to those veterans who have sweat, fought, suffered, were POW's, and to those who have died all to give our nation what we have today; freedom.
Thank you Amanda, my half-sister, who currently re-enlisted her second term in the Army and is currently serving in Iraq herself and to my 18 year old niece, Rene, for enlisting herself into the armed services and will be departing this week to begin her duties in the Army. Thank you for putting your own self on the line for all of us. There is no real way to respectfully give you the proper honor for which you deserve. However I do say, with utmost sincerity, a huge thank you! I love you both! And I respect and greatly appreciate hold sacred the acts in which ALL armed men and women have served on our behalf!

AMEN Sarah!

Beautiful post, Sarah.
ReplyDeleteI got your question at my blog. Firstly, congrats on the new camera - you're going to love it!!
Re: silhouettes ... find a bright enough background, turn your flash off, let the camera be fully auto and you should end up with a perfect silhouette. Really, truly, the camera can do it all by itself.
About aperture ... aperture is NOT your focal length (ie. 55mm, or 200mm or 300mm). It is the "opening" that lets light into your camera and is designated with an "f" (ie. f/2.8, f/4, f/8 etc.). Go to www.thepioneerwoman.com and search for her articles on aperture - they're awesome!
Have fun with that new camera!!
Thanking God with you. We thank a God who is no stranger to sacrifice.
ReplyDeletePraying for all those serving now, and thanking those who served in the past.
