Here is my photo from this weeks 'I Heart Faces' 'I heart my Country'. I love this photo for multiple reasons, but two of the biggest is 1) This was one of my very first photo shoots I ever took while I was still taking Photography learnings and 2) This Army Soldier came home for a period of 'leave' to spend with his new wife, but most importantly to meet his son for the very first time.
I absolutely love how the newborn and father are gazing into one another's eyes; it's like 'love at first sight'.

ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet personal moment you captured!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo, Sarah, that expression on father and baby is priceless. Seeing the innocence of a newborn child really brings home the reason why we need the military to protect our nations.
ReplyDeleteYou've sure got a knack with that camera. My photography, on the other hand, is a running joke in my family.

Okay, I am crying.. It reminds me when my husband saw our daughter for the first time... He was coming home from Vietnam...Beautiful!

ReplyDeleteGreat photo. You captured a special moment. I was one of those "military" babies. I was born a few months before dad got to come home (years ago).
Mind if I use this photo on my blog if I link back here for credit?
