"I Heart my Country!"

Here is my photo from this weeks 'I Heart Faces' 'I heart my Country'.  I love this photo for multiple reasons, but two of the biggest is 1) This was one of my very first photo shoots I ever took while I was still taking Photography learnings and 2) This Army Soldier came home for a period of 'leave' to spend with his new wife, but most importantly to meet his son for the very first time.

I absolutely love how the newborn and father are gazing into one another's eyes; it's like 'love at first sight'.

Go check out 'I Heart Faces' to see many other photo entries as well and join in on all of the fun at this awesome site; just click on the button below to learn more!!

  3. Beautiful photo, Sarah, that expression on father and baby is priceless. Seeing the innocence of a newborn child really brings home the reason why we need the military to protect our nations.
You've sure got a knack with that camera. My photography, on the other hand, is a running joke in my family.

  11. Linked from Amber's Articles.

Great photo. You captured a special moment. I was one of those "military" babies. I was born a few months before dad got to come home (years ago).

Mind if I use this photo on my blog if I link back here for credit?
